This book has been one of my favorite books of the year. I loved the first one so much and I was so excited to jump back into the world of Heartstrings. I love B.K. Borison's writing, you get through it so quick, but the story doesn't feel rushed at all, two povs, and there is absolutely no third-act breakup (thank god). The setting of this book was perfect, it makes you want to get cozy and right back into the story. You could literally feel the chemistry between Jackson and Delilah, almost from the very beginning, and it was so fun reading them lusting over each other in their povs. I loved getting to know some backstory behind both of them, they're both dealing with some pretty tough things between Jackson's mom and Delilah's grandfather. But the way that they were there for each other and supported each other was just beautiful to see play out. It was an amazing story, a fluffy romance with meaningful conversations and themes throughout. I'm so excited for the next book in this series but I'm going to be so sad when it's over!

I was so glad to return to Baltimore with this new addition to B.K. Borisons Heartstrings series! I loved the characters and the storyline, but somehow Jackson and Delilah did not quite hit me as hard as Aiden and Lucie did. Still a great read and a good time!

What A delightful book! The second installment of Heartstrings focuses on Jackson and Delilah. If you read First Time Caller you know Jackson is the weatherman and Aiden’s best friend at the Station. You also get glimpses of his constant frustration with Delilah who does the weather at the news station across their shared parking lot. Usually, it stems from the way she parks, or how accident prone she seems to be around him. Well, we finally get to meet her fully in this book.

Delilah is colorful, candy addicted, chaotic sunshine. She loves her job, or she did until her boss started undercutting her at every chance. Like making her dress up in a turtle suit to report on a new turtle edition at the zoo. Anything to make her look ridiculous. Delilah perseveres because being on television news is one of her few connections she maintains with the grandfather who raised her as he slips further away due to Alzheimer’s. He never misses her broadcasts. 

Jackson is raising his sisters after his mother signed over custody to him so she could continue her life as a free spirit. This is one of the many anxieties he struggles with, and believe me, he has a lot. He lives his life by clinging to structure, schedules, lists, whiteboards, post its, and the occasional ramble about all things weather. When a once in a lifetime snowstorm is predicted for the mountains, the news station and radio station decide to do a joint report by sending these two opposites to report on it together. 

As the two try to maintain a truce they start to see each other as who they truly are, and the result is a what makes this such a lovely story.
