Lovelight Farms The Lovelight Series Book 1

B.K. Borison2021
A pasture of dead trees. A hostile takeover of the Santa barn by a family of raccoons. And shipments that have mysteriously gone missing. Lovelight Farms is not the magical winter wonderland of Stella Bloom’s dreams. In an effort to save the Christmas tree farm she’s loved since she was a kid, she enters a contest with instafamous influencer Evelyn St. James. With the added publicity and the $100,000 cash prize, she might just be able to save the farm from its financial woes. There’s just one problem. To make the farm seem like a romantic destination for the holidays, she lied on the application and said she owns Lovelight Farms with her boyfriend. Only … there is no boyfriend. Enter best friend Luka Peters. He just came home for some hot chocolate, and somehow got a farm and a serious girlfriend in the process. Lovelight Farms is a romantic comedy featuring a handsome, freckled data analyst, a messy, optimistic Christmas tree farm owner, and a small town with the best hazelnut lattes on the east coast. This sweet and steamy romance is a holiday happily ever after. It is the first book in a series of interconnected standalones following the three Lovelight owners.

first half was cute but then it got kind of boring. the whole reason they fake date doesn’t arrive until way over halfway through the book and they are practically in love and had been intimate by the time the influencer arrives. the fmc was so oblivious it got annoying after a while. they could’ve gotten together way sooner if they would’ve just communicated.

Characters were a little bland and flat, and the story never really felt like it had a climactic moment, but still a cute little holiday romance.

I actually really enjoyed the book... I was in need of something fluffy and cute. This book was what I needed, and being Christmas-themed made it even more special. I loved the atmosphere of the book. I laughed so much. It has been a while since I have read 'Friends to Lovers' and I missed it so much... sure there were some chapters where I was annoyed with Stella because she was so oblivious... but still. The last few chapters were so interesting. And honestly, I loved the confession scenes. I did get emotional while reading them... Overall this book was a cute fluffy (mostly) book I enjoyed.

A Book I read in 2 days but safe to say that the one feeling I take away from this one is Meah, I can’t say that I enjoyed this one was predictable for me right from the start and with it being a Fake Dating we all know what is going to happen in there it’s just a matter of how it plays out but I was just not that engaged.

Stella Bloom is the owner of Lovelight Farms. She loves the place and has been trying to make it all work, but a lot of bad things have been happening that have caused the farm to be in financial trouble. The trees in the south field have all died, the fence has been damaged, pumpkins have been destroyed, decorations have been ruined, shipment orders have never arrived and now the farm is in the financial hole.

So, Stella enters a contest that could win her farm publicity and $100,000. To help spruce up her story she says she owns the farm with her boyfriend despite the fact she doesn't have a boyfriend. No worries, she'll get someone to fake it with her.

For Me I think the one thing that I just didn’t vibe was the Lack of communication, It was clear that both character where “In Love” With each other but they just didn’t have the words to be able to express it to each other and this made the story drag on a little with some of the conversations but the chemistry between Stella and Luka was perfect!

This book was a cute, Christmassy romance however I couldn’t really get into it. Quite a slow start but I really liked the characters and the Christmas tree farm setting. Overall a decent read, just wasn’t for me.

Stella Bloom's Christmas Tree farm is failing, and she desperately needs an influx of cash to keep it going, so she enters influencer, Evelyn St. James's contest in which she picks the best destination vacation, with the winner earning lots of free publicity and $100,000. On the application, Stella states that she owns the farm with her boyfriend, so she asks her best friend Luka Peters to participate in a fake relationship with her. This leads to many hijinks on the farm and the possibility that she and Luka might become more than friends.

Lovelight Farms is a sweet, cute romance with likable characters and a lighthearted plot. The story is told from Stella's point of view, and it is over-populated with inner monologues about why she and Luca shouldn't be together as more than friends. Also there isn't much of a payoff for the most in-depth conflict in the story between Stella and her father. The best part of the narrative is the camaraderie shared by the characters and the atmosphere of the town of Inglewild. Overall, Lovelight Farms is an extremely easy and fast paced read with nice characters and a lightweight plot.

I am absolutely obsessed with this book! It was utterly adorable and a perfect read for the holiday season. This was all I knew about the book so when I started reading and find out it’s a fake dating, friends to lovers, with a golden retriver MMC. I was instantly sold and knew I was going to love the book. It did not disappoint and found the entire town, farm, and other characters in the book. This is honestly what I wish hallmark movies were like because if it was I would like them! Can’t wait to continue on with the series!

I thought this book was super cute and I absolutely loved the cozy Christmas vibes. It literally felt like watching a cheesy Hallmark movie in the best way. I loved Luka's character so much, and their friendship was super sweet and pure. I would've rated this one even higher but I didn't like how the whole Evelyn storyline just kind of abruptly ended without any proper discussion, and I found myself wishing that the book was more addicting than it was.

“I’m going to love her in all the quiet ways, the slow ways, the loud and obnoxious ways.“ literally just rip my heart out and feed it to me at this point. i’m super sensitive and emotional right now, don’t touch me. “My heart has been moving steadily in that direction since she fell down the steps of a hardware store, right into my arms.”

I really like this book. I’m really only knocking off a star because the whole mystery of the farm felt a little simple and silly for me. And also the nickname La La made me cringe…. But I’ll still probably reread this at Christmas and I’m definitely reading all the other ones because overall….this book was amazing

I loved this way more than I anticipated and it was such a cozy easy read. It really got my reading energy coming back and motivated.

I loved the Once Upon a Time like small town setting, it did feel like a hallmark movie and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Sometimes you just need a break of harsh realities and Lovelight Farms is just the antidote for that.

Blinded by positivity, probably. Too focused on the cute little cottage that hugs the corner of the property, visions of curling up in front of the stone fireplace with a mug of tea dancing through my head. Imagining the first snow of the year, walking through rows and rows of trees. A place of my own. A place I belong --- finally.

Luka and I have been together long enough now that the fear of losing everything we’ve built is typically contained to the darkest moments of night—when sleep feels far away and my fears lurk with the shadows in the corners of our room. When my hands can’t find him in the space next to me quick enough. When it takes him longer than usual to roll into me and press his face into my hair, arms tight around my waist.

this is too real
