Maybe 3 and a half stars if I’m being nice ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

I’m just so disappointed that after 9 books that was the ending? Like wtf even was that? 
I feel like the reason this book gets 3 and a half stars is because all the rest of the books in this series were so good and this was clearly just an example of an author that kinda seemed to lose interest in their own book, which is okay and I understand that. Doesn’t mean I’m not sad about it.
Also the first half was worse then the second, well until the actual ending because again. . . WtF.

I was disappointed with this book. After anticipating this book for AGES and falling in love with the series, I was hugely let down. This book had left more questions than answers and felt really rushed. The multiple perspectives in this book worked to its detriment and left the book incoherent and stagnant. In addition, the ending left many of the character's futures uncertain and unclear. 

Furthermore, while I did enjoy the growth in Lexie's relationship with her boyfriends, I felt that not all her relationships were showcased in this book. Especially her's with Zeke. Moreover, I was also disheartened and confused with the rushed reveal of the antagonist, who had closed the veil. The revealed antagonist did not make any sense as there was no build-up. I believe they were only chosen when B.L Brummer had written the last book and needed an antagonist who would create a dramatic betrayal. Additionally, I did not like the deterioration in the character developments of Lexie and Miles, in the last few books, they had completed changed and it did not suit their characters. The relationship between Lexie and Hades also upset me for the lack of development and for the unnecessary conflict between them.

Having read the series over the past few years, this last book was the downfall. However, despite the disappointing ending, I do love the rest of the series and will continue to re-read them.
