i read this way back in 2016 then i don't know why i left it at that time but i did stopped for a while. well glad that i got to finished it finally. i love the tricky first part a lot that i felt the second part was a bit forced and disappointedly turned to a sappy love triangle. it got good potential really with it's challenging theme and all and i would have love to know and see more of layana and brant after the promising first act? part? but like i said almost everything after the twist/revelation the story really loses it's steam.

** spoiler alert ** first of all, that TWIST. it would've been like a 2.5 stars had the twist not been that good. like it's too straight, melodramatic and ~steamy~ for my own liking. and i'm not big on cheating so that was also a meh, but regarding that particular point OOOOO BITCH I THOUGHT I REALLY T H O U G H T. i read it in like one and a half hours like it was a pretty quick read and i mean the way it was written was nice, i liked it. i guess. the girl in 6e is like one of my favorite books and i was pretty stunned to see that it was written by the same author. it did a good job keeping me invested as like, i really wanted to know. brant's secret. that was actually a stroke of genius. the dialogue was also.. something. it was cringy at times, it felt straight out of an nsfw angst fanfiction. i mean to each their own but.... maybe not for me. i also truly didn't feel anything for the characters. it's not like they were bad or anything, like i just.. didn't connect with them and i was in it solely for the narrative.

Yes @ this book. It came into my life when I needed it the most. I love getting the perspectives from differently people and Awh I'm glad that I wasn't spoiled even though I kinda figured it would have been like this. YES YES ALL THE YESS.

I'm gonna be honest...I almost stopped reading this book 2-3 times during the first half. I was not that engaged or enthralled BUT once we got to the plot twist, I was hooked. Alessandra Torre takes you on a wild rollercoaster ride with this one. It's a creative, thought-provoking story with twists and turns at every corner. All in all, this one surprised me with how it drew me even though I wasn't a huge fan of the first half. I will say though, these sex scenes were also not for me :/ idk

What did I just read? That was amazing! That was definitely a crazy roller coaster ride of emotions.
