The characterization in this one is a bit odd, but the plot is intriguing and important to the overall arc.

| I liked this one the least.

It has been about a week since I finished and I am already beginning to loose details of what we did learn about the overarching plot of the world. The romantic couple of this was meh for me. But I do think this laid some groundwork in the world for interesting things to come. I hope. What keeps me coming back to this series is that I am intrigued by the world and I enjoy catching up with characters from other books. There is a community atmophere and focus on the importance of family, however we form it. I like that. They are entertaining and quick to read.

Ok ThΓs book is not one of my favourites in the series neither his the next but you have to read them to understand them. But you still get lost in the book all thanks to Nalini Singh she is a fabulous writer.

Meh. I feel utterly meh about this book. There were some good plot developments for the world as a whole but Dev and Katya? They were utterly meh. I was so very not invested in their story. And Dev should have been interesting with all that rich Forgotten history and world to discover but I was so indifferent to his story. I couldn't get invested at all. I did like the potential it gives for exploring more of the Forgotten and their abilities and how they've adapted to have abilities for the modern world. I guess we'll see.

Not my favorite in the series.
