An easy read in bobs normal fun style. So it was fun but the weird squirrel conversations took some getting used to

While I do tend to fine Bob Mortimer funny, as a reader, I just prefer something more... refined? This really felt like an expanded reddit post in a sense that you know none of that happened but the author is having a great time writing their little story, except eventually it becomes Too Much.

such an easy book to read ! so palatable and a good flow, got me back into reading fiction :-)

A really enjoyable debut novel from Bob Mortimer. Funny, Witty, Charming and genuinely well written! A really easy read too, would highly recommend as a filler after or before something heavier.

Very funny. Great debut from Bob Mortimer.

It was OK. I like Bob, and I wanted it to be great.. But it was a bit clunky in the syntax. Some laughs, though. Better out than in, as they say…. And away…..

Not sure what pulled me to this book but gave it a go. The story follows an average man with a boring life who finds himself in a situation turning his usual daily routine on its head. The book took a while for me to get into it, it was somewhat repetitive and a little boring in some parts but the ending was very good i wish that was expanded more and the beginning condensed more. Overall give it a go, it’s a fairly short book and wasn’t bad by any means i’ve just read better.
