Amazingly written thriller which I wasn‘t able to put down. Found it to be quite heavy though :/

The second volume in my end to end reading of the Kay Scarpetta series, and this is another I'd already read. I found the plot of this book much tricker to get engrossed in to begin with, but the last third of the story really got back on form and I enjoyed it. I think perhaps the appeal for me with these books is in the forensic pathology rather than the crime drama plot - who knows, either way there's no denying they are exceptionally readable without being simplistic. Self contained stories with characters who connect and develop across the series, a nice combination. 

A serial killer with an unusually linked motive. But it works well.
