i appreciate how the book openly states “not a motivational book,” because it truly isn’t!! reading it feels like flipping through someone else’s private vent journal, filled with thoughts that are so honest and unapologetic. the illustrations scattered throughout could be called doodles, but they are actually intricate illustrations that lend each page a personal intimate touch. some passages made me frown with their blunt negativity, yet at the same time, i found myself validated seeing thoughts i’d harbored but never dared to voice :) i love lala bohang’s bravery so much in putting this book out into the world, not to mention the title perfectly captures the essence of what it dares to explore.
