The World Eve Left Us

After her mother is murdered by her abusive drug-dealer father, Eve--who can neither hear nor speak--grows up under the protection of the German refugee woman who taught her how to communicate with sign language and photography; and, as she gets older, Eve becomes a budding artist as the Vietnam War casts its shadow across the nation.
