I won't hide the fact that the Wax and Wayne trilogy isn't my favourite, as westerns and guns in fantasy are really not my thing. But, I found this novella brilliant, had I been reading Jak's "letters" alone, I wouldn't have been able to complete it, but with the footnotes by Handerwym, I was laughing so much! I even shared multiple footnotes with my family because I enjoyed it so much.
It was definitely a fun and welcome break between some of the meatier, more serious novellas. It also brought back my favourite gross meatbag race, the Koloss! I dunno why I enjoy them so much, probably because they're so horrific to imagine and body horror is great 😂

This was fun to read. Too short actually, I would like to know more of the adventures of Jak! It's also very interesting how it shows us a bit more of the world in era 2, and how the Kolos live during this time.
