The world building and character development were really good. I however wish the book had been a little longer as it felt like it was just one thing happening after another. His ideas for the planet and its workings however were super unique and fascinating. I feel like I wasnt able to fully appreciate this novel as I’m not much of a sci-fi reader, but for anyone who is, I would highly recommend it.

The Sanderson Secret novels gave us the best, the worse and the most interesting books we have ever gotten from him and this is very high on the list of his best works. We already knew how vast and thrilling the cosmere is but this definitely takes the cake as his most fast paced and interesting worldbuilding. The plot is so simple at first with it been about a wanderer getting stuck on a planet and his journey toward helping that planet from the evil dictator that rules them. This is definitely a book that needs prior cosmere knowledge to be fully understood, but if you plunge into the rest of his stories and read this after, you will be greatly rewarded.
