This book could not capture my attention. I won this book from Goodreads and was excited. I heard a lot of good things about the first story, so I thought I could pick up and run with it. That turned out to not be the case.

The book's pacing felt very slow to me. Also, there were references to the first story, so in continuing to read I felt as though I was missing out on important details. After a while, I put the book down to read something else, and now I find that I just don't connect enough with the characters to find out what happens next. I may give this one another try if I ever read the first story.
