So I actually really enjoyed the first 45% of this, it was funny and cute. But at this stage the relationship was already solidified, they’d said “I love you” and I was wondering how they were gonna fill the rest of the book. 

I thought there was gonna be a threesome at some point, cause Lane kept going on about how he wanted to see see Zoey’s (his best friend) boobs and “pet” her? And Jared would get off on that. There was also a time when Lane jerked off to hearing Zoey and her boyfriend having sex in the next room, and when he messages Jared about it he asked him if Lane was gonna join then and to let him know how it went if he did. Lane did not join them but it just all turned me off the story a bit cause I’m not a fan of threesomes with established couples, and even though it didn’t happen I was expecting it to with all the comments. There was still a lot of mentions to it till the end of the book, of having threesomes with models and Lane being into watching Jared fuck a woman. At once stage I wasn’t sure if maybe it had happened but wasn’t mentioned,just by the way Jared seemed so sure that Lane was into watching him and a woman together. Obviously this would not be an issue for a lot of people reading, but it’s just not something I enjoy.

I skipped a lot of paragraphs for the last 50% cause there really wasn’t anything happening. There wasn’t a single moment of angst in the relationship, which for once I wouldn’t have minded cause everything happened so quick. 

If you’re looking for a totally easy going angst free read then this might be what you want, but unfortunately it just didn’t work for me.

i started this months ago, got about 10% in and got distracted, so i just decided to pick it up and plow through it so i could move on. and actually it surprised me how sweet this was. i normally dislike age gaps, but this one wasn't terrible (plus it wasn't a HUGE gap) and i loved both the mcs. in the beginning i couldn't quite understand lane's way of thinking? but i just rolled with it and it was great. very cute book. 3 stars bc i'm not sure if i'd read it again, but i would probably recommend it!

Another good hockey romance! I loved all the bi rep and the unique MCs. Haven’t seen a whole lot of them like Lane especially. The story did drag a bit toward the end for me as it tied up every little thread for a perfect HEA (which isn’t my personal favorite nor need in a romance) but I enjoyed it overall. This one is a light and heartwarming tale with low angst; it’s perfect for when you want some hockey mm but not the usual drama alongside it.
Excited to see the sequel is about Riley — just as I had hoped! I’ll be continuing this series soon for sure.
