Are they not tragedies anymore if I laugh about it? They don't feel awful. Truly. At least, while reading this book.

Some of the stories are funny by themselves. Some are funny because of Hilary's illustration. Some are funny because they are too strange to believe. But some are sad and at such junctures, Hilary's illustrations are warm.

If someone is dumped for the silliest reason, present this book. It will go well with the healing process.

Well, this was a speed-read. I flipped through it within a couple of hours. 
It is hilarious, there's no doubt about it. Perhaps a little more hyperbole wouldn't hurt. I would think breaking up could get sassier, and more creative, but these are real-stories so I guess people are not giving much thought to the horrible ordeal of breaking up. Nor would a greater variety and deeper insights into the context, although I do understand that part of the fun is to have micro-tales sans the context to judge. I'd still prefer the former. 
Overall, a decent laugh was had.

Librarian: I might consider this one. I’ve found that kids invariably love collections of silly/obnoxious stories/facts. I’ll have to check if we have any on relationships.
Reader: A few minutes on the internet will produce hundreds (thousands) of articles exactly like this book. As such I wouldn’t buy a copy of it for myself. It is however still a fun sort of read, and clearly people do like it, or there wouldn’t be so many articles.

Everybody at some point in life had a bad break up. This book is a compilation of bad break ups. It is so good... it is amazing how a bad situation becomes so comic.
I didn’t like the cover much.
However, loved the title. This title is the reason i asked for the book. Also the drawings are really good.
And of course... to whom this book is dedicated..... to ‘the guy’.

This book is a collection of people's who was being dumped by their boyfriend/girlfriend. There are some funny stories that made me giggle a bit, but there are also some stories that kind of sad. I like the mixed of it.
I also love the illustrations :) It's so good.
