50% awesome 50% glibly prose - still a must read for fans

First half is tough but it gets better. It helps to remember Kylar is ~25yo so the voice is appropriate although not always enjoyable. Must read if you’re a Weeks fan, different than the originals but a good sequel that’s probably not fair to compare to the original raw writing that made Weeks a NYT best seller but alas I can’t help but think he took this one too easy (lightbringer series is 5 stars from end to end) so I’m going with 3 stars because I think he could’ve done a lot more to make it exciting.
