This book was extremely enjoyable to read. Mclaren's writing style and humour was refreshing and beneficial in bringing out his ideas. I didn't agree with everything (some of the time I felt as though Mclaren was on a different planet/paradigm of thought than me), but then again, what fun would it be reading a book if I did? I enjoyed Mclaren's look at the "7 Jesus' he has known" as well as the way he gleaned positive aspects of major Christian traditions. I thought his emphasis on being missional and orthopraxy (not only orthodoxy) was also great. I'm not sure if I would reccomend it to everyone...but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Lots of good questions. Lots of good impulse away from dogmatic infighting. Doesn't land anywhere helpful at all. 

Sure, it's great to "embrace the good" in differing traditions, but McLaren pretty much ends up throwing out the whole idea of discernible truth in the process.
