I don’t think that anything so good has ever been created before. This whole series is AMAZING in so many levels. I truly cannot find the right words to describe how much I think it rocks. And volume 8 is just astonishing. Incredible. Marvelous. etecetera.

one of my favorite volumes [Completed my Care of Magical Creatures exams for the OWLs Magical Readathon✨]

5 stars | This series just keeps blowing my mind, srsly.

Thank goodness for some wholesome storylines after the carnage of the last volume.

Saga never disappoints, though Volume 8 is perhaps one of the weaker collections of the series. Our crew of misfits have to deal with the fallout of the previous book, and the challenging topic that Vaughan takes on is abortion. Not quite sure what he was trying to do with this discussion, but he certainly didn't give himself enough space to do it well. In the end, it is just sort of a wishy-washy diversion that doesn't do any harm. Plus there's enough Saga-style storytelling and character development to make this a fun read anyway.

Full (mini) review now posted! Dude. There were some gnarly frames in this. Poop monsters, for one. That’s just such a nasty idea. *Shudders* But besides the gratuitous gross out frames that I’ve come to expect from this series, I still enjoyed this volume. There’s so much diversity in Saga, both among the cast of characters and within the plots. One of my favorite things about the series is the commentary from Hazel, and the way that commentary brings together plot lines that seem to have little to do with each other. I’ll be honest; right around the time the fecal monsters appeared I decided I was done with Saga after this volume. However, Hazel’s commentary along with the directions the plots took near the end caused me to reconsider. I guess I’ll stick with the series for a while longer.

This one was an absolute blast to read. 7&8 have completely sucked me back in. They included conversations about bodies and how everyone should be able to do and be what they want. I appreciate this one because it has some of those deeper conversations you need to have in life. Also developed a soft spot for Prince Robot

4.5 Stars. Maybe my favorite one so far
