Drams 4 Love and Other Disasters

This is my fourth book of songs and poems. Happiness, pain, breakup, lies, lust and laughter. The ups and downs of relationships including the darkness and depression that is rarely spoken of. But it isn't all doom and gloom, with the lows come the highs and humour to keep us going! Drams 4 holds more songs and poems about the vast spectrum of love that we can all relate to. I am pleased to say that some of my songs have been adapted, recorded and released by the fabulous Desert Life and are available at all the normal channels.I was born in Inverness in 1949 and have lived in East Kilbride, London , (near Heathrow) and Saudi Arabia (for ten years). I have worked most of my life in the Airline Industry which enabled me to travel the world quite easily and cheaply. I am now retired and have lived in Spain for the last ten years. I only started writing since I retired in 2009 and it is only in the last few years I started writing songs and poems and I suppose have become quite prolific. I have always liked music since the fifties and have been a fan of many of the top artist during the past sixty years from, Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Motown, Van Morrison, Reggae, The Smiths, The Clash, Joy Division and Abba. In other words, I love it all. I still get that thrill today when I hear something new that hits the spot.My influences are really all the Rock poets, especially Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Ian Curtis etc. and maybe a little Rabbie Burns. I have completed this selection between August and December 2018.
