Soft Limits

Brianna Hale2017
Frederic d’Estang: performer, professional villain and my youthful crush. Graduate student Evie Bell spends her days ghostwriting memoirs and her nights playing out her most intimate sexual fantasies by penning fan fiction. When a famous stage actor bursts into her life, she’s drawn to his dark, sensual presence, despite herself. He calls me chérie, ma princesse, minette. In Paris, Frederic takes Evie firmly in hand, leading her down a sensual path neither of them could have imagined, and pushing them both dangerously near their limits. I call him Daddy. Evie is wary—fearing Frederic is a villain both onstage and off—but again and again, Frederic draws her in. Yet the closer they become, the more Frederic holds back, wanting to protect Evie from his despicable truth. He isn’t the man she believes him to be, and his secret may very well destroy them. 4.5 ⭐️ • Please read trigger warnings • Mature language, graphic sexual scenes, BDSM (light knife play, bondage, role play, implied CNC) • age gap romance • DD/LG w/o heavy age regression • HEA The irony that the title of the book is called “Soft Limits” when it’s actually far from it. This was one heck of a ride. I usually speak of the characters for the most part so here goes. Evie, sweet, selfless Evie. I love her. Her professionalism is immaculate and I loveee how she wrote fanfictions ;))) I believe Evie was selfless, she cared for Fredric despite it all. I believe she’s strong, she picked up the pieces and got moving after getting her heart ripped out of her chest. I believe she’s smart because she just is, I don’t think that requires an explanation. Fredric, brooding, handsome , tenderly brutal Fredric. This man was a dream come true , with this sweet words and render brutality. Despite this, I think Fredric was strong just as Evie was. I wouldn’t say he was courageous nor cowardice, but he has his reasons for the fear. Fredric’s a little complex, he’s stubborn and that cost him. However , I liked the way things wrapped up for him. He was a respectful man, always making sure Evie was happy. Sure we all make mistakes , but I adored his love for Evie a little too much. Speaking of the plot and language. I enjoyed it. The literature and theatre setting gave the book a flair of its own. What I really enjoy about Brianna Hale is that as much there is sexual deviance , there’s so much more tender love and gentleness , that breaks your heart and puts it back together. The language was great and overall I believe it was a really enjoyable read. I can conclusively say that Brianna Hale never fails to deliver.
