Thank you so much to the author for sending me an ARC of this book. It took me a while to get to it, but once I did I read it in two sittings. 

It was well-paced, despite there not being a lot of action for most of the book. 

The world-building was unique and I liked how it was slowly revealed throughout the book, instead of thrown at the reader from the beginning. The lore was truly beautiful. 

As for the negatives, the timeline of the book was a bit confusing to me. There were some significant time jumps throughout, in between which nothing much seemed to have happened. It resulted in a lot of things happening at once, without much build-up. The main character seemed to forget about some vital things for weeks at a time. This also caused the relationship changes between the characters to sometimes feel a little forced. I felt like adding one or two sentences between transitions would’ve solved the issue. 

I also felt that the information the main character needed was a little too conveniently placed at times. I wish there would've been more small bits scattered throughout.

That being said, I enjoyed this book very much and I’ll be waiting for the sequel ❤️
