First third bills the book up really well, second third gets a bit stale and feels like a lot of filler. 

All the events that happened through the story should have delivered a more impactful ending for the last third than what had actually happened.

Good book. The imagery is not that fantastic, but the combat is quite cool and I'd be interested in reading more from this world.
