Bygone Badass Broads 52 Forgotten Women Who Changed the World
Reviews

cool read, but im not a huge fan of the writing style. the illustrations were lovely tho. 2.5/5 stars, rounded up

This was such a good book of some great and fierce women forgotten by us for the most part. Mackenzi Lee is definitely one of my favourite authors. As this is a history book you would think that it would be dry and factual, but it really wasn’t. The writing is witty, casual and approachable as well as Lee chiming in with her own opinions on things. The format was also really enjoyable. The author gave you quick, short biographies so that you could do your own research if you wanted further information. It was so easy to fly through. The artwork throughout is also stunning and was really useful because I didn’t have to picture them myself, they were already there. It was so amazing to learn about women I never even knew existed. They’re from all around the world with so many different backgrounds. It’s such an inclusive collection of women being of different sexualities, religions, races, economic status etc. All I can say is this is a wonderful collection of some really incredible women.
