I always love a good Joe Pickett story but I think this is C.J. Box's best one yet. Joe is once again facing a complicated case of murder and doubley challenged by he's hateful boss doing unexpected things. The solution to the case is one you will never see coming and many problematic characters finally get what's coming to them. This series and its characters never seem to get old.
CONTENT WARNINGS: gruesome murders, gore, discussion of suicide, drug use, discussion of murder, family grief.
