Mere Christianity

Mere Christianity is an excellent book for anyone that wishes to explore authentic Christianity and what it means for mankind. For nonbelievers who want to know more about the faith, this book introduces it honestly and comprehensibly. Lewis responds to many potential objections and his arguments follow a traceable line of reasoning. For Christians of all denominations this book is also a great reminder of Christianity's core beliefs while also exploring theology on a deeper level in later chapters. If this book has any flaws,  they lie in Lewis' complex style of writing and his tendency to occasionally over explain his points.

I love the format. It’s like a daily devotional that takes only a little time to read each day. Anyone that has read any of Lewis’ works know he is adept at explaining complicated topics with simple language. I recommend this for anyone, whether you’re curious about Christianity or a lifelong practitioner. 

I will warn that he uses masculine pronouns as that was the accepted practice during his lifetime. Also, his views on homosexuality are unenlightened.
