This is a fabulous reference book on English women's clothing--it has details from every single year through the century. Of course, it spoils some of the fabulous costumes found in some of the renditions of books such as Pride and Prejudice when I see clothes from various years put into books that take places within a year even though the Bennets would have been able to afford to be in style or update their clothes.
