Her Devoted Hero

Who Knew There Were Actually Hot Guys Who Were Nice?Single mother, Kenna Wright was in way over her head. She'd spent years putting her child first while ignoring her needs. So what was she thinking responding to the flirtatious email? What had she been thinking signing up for a dating site in the first place?Dex Evans, Navy SEAL buddies think it's a riot when they sign him up for a dating service behind his back. But who would have thought that with a profile like SailorBoy69 he'd snag a woman who was hysterically funny and gorgeous. Too bad she was also skittish as all hell. When Kenna gets stuck on a project with Dex, she finds out he's even better than he'd been on his online profile, but can she believe this sexy SEAL when he says he's looking for more than a fling? Dex might have been enjoying the fun and flirty with Kenna, until one of her co-workers is murdered and it looks like Kenna might be the next one in the killer's crosshairs, then all bets are off. Dex is determined to keep her safe, because Kenna might not know it but he's playing for keeps.

Back with the Black Dawn boys! Dex is sweet, sexy, charming and downright funny with a side order of gallant! Kenna is sarcastic, sweet, snarky, self depreciating and wonderful mother and friend. I loved how they got together and the emails...I pretty much sputtered cola over my kindle a few times, they were hysterical. Kenna has fears, phobias and a self esteem problem I can relate to. But when the danger rolls in she wants to be part of the solution, usually failing to heed warnings from Dex and the rest of the team. She'll face her problems head on and cry about it later, especially when her family is targeted. Dex will have to pull out the big guns to persuade the ever so skittish Kenna that he is in for the long haul...he's not above making sure her son and mother are on his side though! Whilst Dex was determined he was in no way a stalker and you can clearly see the differences between him and a certain other interested party! I loved trying to unravel who was the bad guy (failed again!) and checking in with all my favourite SEALS and their ladyloves was awesome. I'm sad to leave them behind and now have to sit and wait (very impatiently I might add) for the next book!
