Linc lived through a traumatic childhood at the hands of his father. It made him the man he is today. No one will ever hurt a female or a child as long as he is around to stop them. Linc and Leila connected over a year ago when he helped to save her. But circumstances have kept them apart until now. When another chance encounter (and rescue) leads them to each other, they decide not to tempt fate twice and make sure they stay in touch.

Leila was once much more than a simple interpreter and occasionally she helps out her old CIA mentor with a few off the books tasks. She never expected to watch as her team are taken out one by one. These were just civilians, not former CIA like herself.

Linc and Leila don't have the easiest start to their relationship, they both have a duty to perform but this time they make sure to text, email, etc. When they finally get their "first date" it hurtles them from friends with potential to full on love affair. These two go from zero to 100mph. But when its right it's right and no one and nothing will tear them apart this time.

Leila is another strong, gutsy, independent FMC. Linc may be protective to his core but he sees Leila for who she is and never tries to make her feel less then. He knows her skillset and is more than happy to let her shine! Mr and Mrs Cloud are a hoot - I loved the little trap Agent Cloud set for Linc, which he passed with flying colours I may add! Not everyone we meet makes it out unscathed unfortunately but there are happy endings.
