Okay. So right off the bat this book is not for everyone. I can tell you that much. I know for a fact people wont like this book because it's VERY taboo and kinky.

For me, this is right on up my alley. I love the taboo, forbidden and age gap. I love how Jade handled this subject. The relationship didn't feel forced or cheap, maybe for some, uncomfortable. I thought that they had great development, as a couple and individually, from beginning to end. Jade West is a fantastic writer and I keep forgetting that I need to read more of her work!

Unfortunately the writing was abysmal. I wish I didn't waste time reading this. There wasn't much quality content, no real plot, just a bunch of filler scenes along with the awkward spicy scenes. Do not recommend.

Ummm....I've always thought I enjoyed books that explored more taboo topics, but this may have been a little bit too much for me. The way the main female protagonist was infantilized was a little too over the top for my taste, and I really didn't need descriptions of people watching each other pee. All that was my fault though for not doing more research before I picked this one up. I also have absolutely no judgment for anyone who enjoyed those aspects of the story! I may just need to warm up to scenes like that. Plus, (view spoiler)[I didn't like that at the end the couple seemed to have moved past the kink aspect of their relationship and it suddenly turned into something they rarely ever took part in together. (hide spoiler)] I'm not sure that's how kinks work? I did think it was well written, though. So a solid 3 stars from me!

Eighteen year old Laine has always had to work hard for everything, a mom who had rather run off with her boyfriend than be a mom to Laine. A “best-friend” that was basically a user. A daddy that wasn’t in the picture. So when Laine finds herself in a dangerous situation, there is Nick to the rescue. And of course she has “ daddy issues”. 

The smut in this may push some boundaries with daddy little girl play. But, there is an actual plot. I did enjoy this, it’s the first book by this author and I will read more by her. The writing is well done, fast paced, holds your attention.

I have to say, I honestly cannot decide if I really enjoyed this, or was "icked" out by it.

I think I may have reached my comfort lvl with this book!



Ok, so I did enjoy it, and it is very well written, well developed characters. I just think I would have felt more comfortable if it had not been for the whole bedroom issue!

I felt more comfortable toward the end, when they had settled into a relationship some more.

But yeah, still not sure if it is my kink!

I enjoyed this book, way more than I expected to. It was well written and the storyline developed quite nicely. 

• What I liked 
What I really loved was the fact that this book explored more than the usual DD/LG story touches on; it talked about trauma and how DD/LG helped the characters get through it. It spoke of how DD/LG is for the most part not just a kink but also a way of healing and development for certain individuals. 

• What I disliked 
- I mean yes Laine is Nick’s little for a reason, but I really wished he could’ve “done things” with her in a different bedroom and not the one that previously belonged to his kid daughter. :( He also shaves her to make sure she’s as smooth as a “little girl”. ;-; These weirded me out (but that’s just me) •_•
- the lack of diversity in characters 


Overall, this was good and I enjoyed it. Definitely will read more of Jade’s books !
