Quicksilver The Fae & Alchemy Series Book 1
Reviews

This book was a great read looking forward to book 2

This was a little hard for me to get into as an audiobook, but once I got there I was all in. Lots of story building, but to be expected with a new fantasy series. I love both our FMC and MMC. The cliff hanger was BRUTAL. Can’t wait for the next one.

Beautifully written, realistic slow burn. Kingfisher and Saeris are BA and the magic in this world works in new, yet not outlandish ways. Very quick read.

The beginning was kind of promising, but the moment we met Kingfisher and his foul mouth (insulting for no reason, bringing everything back to his c*ck) it went so badly. The writing is ok, but the story is so weak and the relationship between the two protagonists was sooooo boring

Such a slow start but once you push through to chapter 29 things completely flip! It's almost like the second half of the book is written by a totally different author and the story becomes so much better and entertaining.

I stayed up way later than I should’ve to finish this. That’s the chokehold it has.
Well-written; clever dialogue; some twists that took me by surprise; great adrenaline-inducing action. A bit slow to start, but worth it by the end.

3.5 stars!
This book was very high fantasy for me - if you are not a typical fantasy reader it will be a slough. I enjoyed it however felt it was a little long in my opinion. The ending though!!!!

This book was everything. It felt like reading throne of glass with an adult twist.

Was a really great and unique storyline with some amazing character development. The story wasnt quite as fast-paced as I would have liked, more action and violence is always appreciated. Im very excited for the second book to come out… is it bad that Carrion is my fav???

A bit of a slow start, but it really picked up. Great way to end 2024. Can't wait for the next one.

It's been a long time since I've read a book as fast as this one. I loved it! I loved the story, the characters, the unexpected twists and turns the book took. I can’t wait for second book!

Full Metal Alchemist meets ACOTAR meets Vampire Diaries?

DNF at 60%
I don’t like the writing. At 60% literally nothing was happening, 0 progress on the story. I read one smut scene and physically recoiled, it was foul, not for me

I'm so upset I thought this was a single standalone, not a series, and to my surprise, it ended in a cliffhanger.
This was nice. It had a strong beginning, and I liked the world building, but I was a little bored near the end. It just seemed entirely too long. I actually skipped the last sexytime scene because I was over the gyrations.
But overall, it was a good read.

Absolutely loved this book!!

Highlights

"Don't call her Sunshine," he commanded.
"Why not?"
If Carrion's plan was to poke the bear, then he sure as hell knew how to go about it. But Kingfisher didn't respond to the taunting note in his question. He just cocked his head a little, nostrils flaring, and spoke in a low rumble. "Because she is moonlight. The mist that shrouds the mountains. The bite of electricity in the air before a storm. The smoke that rolls across a battlefield before the killing starts. You have no idea what she is. What she could be. You should call her Majesty."

Oh my fucking god
