I absolutely love this book! It was such a great, adventure-packed, exciting, and entertaining book. Cameo did it! 

What I thoroughly enjoyed about this book was the plot, magical system, and its world-building. I had so much fun reading it, even though it took me too many days to finish reading it, that is because I'm prolonging it. I mean it positively. It was just that good. The adventure was chief's kiss! It was crafted beautifully and left me in awe. It was incredible but it does not sound far-fetched! 

The friendship among the characters was very heartwarming. It felt natural and very much like reality. The banters were pretty hilarious and funny. All of them are very entertaining at some point. 
However, the character's development was not quite satisfactory, although they still improve compared to the first book. Honestly, I'm not quite attached to these characters because I think I'm still looking for something but I am rooting for them to be finally within my grasp. I need more from them, especially with that crazy cliff-hanger! I need the next book right now! Kidding!

Overall, I truly enjoyed everything about this book. I need the next book right now because of that cliff-hanger that I almost throw my phone across my room. It's not 5 stars because character development is really one of the big factors I consider for a book. But aside from it, everything was spectacular! I would definitely recommend this book because it's one of the best books I've read so far this year!

Of Fire and Water is the second book of the Heir of Blood and Fire Series. The first book is entitled Of the Blood. I stumbled upon this beauty on NetGalley when I was looking for a book to read. When I first saw it, I was intrigued by the cover page and the title so I said to myself “why not?” and it doesn’t disappoint at all. Reading the first chapter, I was already immersed in the story that I couldn’t stop reading it so I stayed up until 2 am to finish the story. It makes you want to read more and more because every part of the story is exciting and gives you the thrill of wanting to find out what’s gonna happen next.

The main character, Calla is brave and sympathetic towards her loved ones and the people around her. Understandably, she would be scared about certain things at first but with the desire of keeping her friends and family safe, she bravely faced it. She endured a lot of pain and struggles and that’s what makes her stronger. I also really looked forward to the interactions between Calla and her friends because they are adorable and funny. I love how they care for each other and how protective they are when they feel something strange about an event or a person. The love they have for each other is literally one of the best things in the book. The love, freedom, friendship, family, mystery, honor, and everything is doubtless to look forward to in this book. And also the men here in Of Fire and Water are like the fire that would give you heat in your body and burn you with their hotness because they are gorgeous and would leave you in awe. I absolutely love them all! *chef’s kiss*

Other than the powers and all, the relationships between the characters are realistic and they are portrayed beautifully, so I praise the Author Cameo Renae for the job well done. Even though the story left me on a crazy cliffhanger, I would still highly recommend this book to readers who love fantasy to read this series. Let me know if you guys finished this book so we could talk about it! Also, I couldn’t wait for the next book to come and I would definitely read it right away!
