Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card continues to be adorable and far better than the original! There's an interesting mystery developing with Sakura's disappearing cards and the strange behaviour of some of her friends. What exactly is going on, and who is this kid who looks way too similar to Sakura? Enjoying this nostalgic trip that is less fluff and more plot (but still lots of fluff!) than its predecessor!

More Cardcaptor Sakura! Saw the anime previous to this, but it's still good. Got to love the beautiful art from Clamp. I want to try out the cheesecake recipe.

The one thing is I'm not usually a fan of the Kodansha in-house translations. It's all fine, but it kind of feels like this could have used just a little more editing just to smooth out the phrasing a little bit.

More Sakura and friends. I love the art in this, but I feel that maybe the pacing for the anime is better?

Speaking of which, it looks like one of the lines is translated wrong. During the walking tree scene, Sakura remarks she was wondering why Tomoyo had the costume and camera in her bag, which doesn't make sense since it's sort of obvious. The anime shows that the line should be "I was wondering why you brought your bag with you."

I was wondering why Sweetness and Lightning felt like the translation was better, and it looks like there's a secondary translator looking over the work. Maybe that's what this translation needs? Even an expert translator can benefit from having more QC and a second pair of eyes looking at their work.

Some revelations this time. Pretty great stuff, the plot is moving! I feel like this explains some scenes that were in the anime better than they did there.

Kind of a slow volume, but I enjoy stories involving this particular card. I think the antics it causes is fun.

Art feels a bit different this time? A lot of cute moments this time. Just very nice and everyone is pleasant.

I loved getting back into the world of Sakura and her friends and family. I like the plot so far and I'm intrigued about what will happen next. I'm so glad that we're getting more from this world that I love so much. Cannot wait for more.

I'm still really enjoying being back in this world again with Sakura and her friends. Things are getting even more interesting with Eriol, Syaoran and even Touya swing to be hiding a few secrets from Sakura. I cannot wait to read more.

This story is still ridiculously cute and so nostalgic for me. The cards being easier to capture make me think that the bigger plot may not be as worrisome as previous arcs have been but we'll see. My one complaint is not enough Touya and Yukito 😊

Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card 4

Once again the volume delivers on cuteness and we get more hints at things from Touya, Syaoran and the new characters who have definitely got some trouble to bring to Sakura's door. Hoping the next one gives us a few more answers than just more questions though.

This volume really moved things a long in The story and revealed some thing's whole still keeping others a mystery. Very much enjoyed it.

Things are definitely heading to darker places in this volume and I appreciated the backstory on Kaito and Akiho and am worried for Sakura and our gang. It is slightly frustrating how people are all keeping Sakura in the dark about things and there was also a distinct lack of Touya in this volume but otherwise another good installment.

Syaoran finally told Sakura what was happening! About time. Though such a shame a spell is stopping him tell her everything he knows but that is all part of the plot. I liked seeing more of Yukito and Touya in this volume and hope that continues on. Esp since Yue is being effected by all the events going on.

Ooo this went in a direction I wasn't expecting, its getting really intriguing now. And I love Touya so much, he really is fab
