I wasn’t sure if I was going to LOVE this book because the plot isn’t that unique. Even with this doubt I really did enjoy most of the book. This book was very entertaining and I loved the emotions that ran through it. There were a lot of secrets that were hidden in this book and their discovery made the book very interesting. I also like the way the author wrote the book and felt that she did a good job of keeping Him in a constant flow as no parts were particularly rushed or slowed. I did feel that the flashbacks were almost too much and too often. They kind of distracted me from the plot and the scenes that were happening in the present.

Sarah was a character that ran from her past and kept on running. I didn’t really like her until all of her reasons for running were disclosed at the end of the book. I felt that she portrayed this girl who was very skittish and desperate for her secrets to stay in the past. I also didn’t like how her emotions seemed to overwhelm her at times and she didn’t always think her actions through. Otherwise it was interesting to see the book through her perspective.

Will was a character that kind of confused me. He says that he’s always loved Sarah yet he doesn’t even try to find her at all? I also thought it was weird how Sarah’s family was supposed to be so loving yet wasn’t worried when Sarah ran away from home to another city and then never came back. If her family actually loved her, wouldn’t they try to contact and stay in touch with her more? Then Will seems like best friends with the family and yet hasn’t figured out where she ran to? 

Though I really did like the story, there was almost too many scenes that really didn’t make sense. The image that the book gave to certain characters wasn’t followed through with their actions and it made the book almost confusing to read. Yet I did like this book and will be looking for more by this author.

           I liked this book. It was refreshing to read a NA title with very little angst and a very believable happy ending. It was easy to connect with the characters and get wrapped up in their journey back together.
