this was so cute and lovely I love vivi and atrius sm 🫶🏽 there's something about an outwardly cold-blooded killer turning out to be actually empathetic and benevolent not only to his people but in general. vi i understand you ☝🏽

I LOVED IT! carissa broadbent has done it again, I have to say she is the QUEEN of enemies to lovers and I must have more faith in her, this was different than her others in the series and I loved it, she really has a gift for making you care about the characters as individuals and as a couple, I really loved it 10/10 would recommend

WHAT A BOOK!!! I LOVE THIS WORLD! I'm already in love with the Nyaxia world, but I love it even more with this expansion. And with what happened in this book... I can only hope that Acaeja will still be this wise in the following books too, because I don't want the vampires I love to suffer because of Nyaxia. IMPORTANT! READ CARISSA'S NYAXIA BOOKS IN ORDER = read StVC after TAATSCK!!!! I was jumping like a crazy person when I read Atrius's past (I love these connections) and I wanted to curse Nyaxia myself for what she has done! Now, back to the story. The first thing that made me fall in love with Carissa's work is that every book has action. A whole lot of action. Once you start a book, you can't put it down. This book got me into the story in an instant. Action-packed, perfect plot twists, perfect hints to connect with the main series, slow burn, doubled found family, betrayal, secrets, a mission to kill him, enemies-to-lovers. PERFECTION! AND EVERYTHING IS IN ONE BOOK!!! I love Sylina and I love how her sight is described. I honestly thought of how Daredevil was able to see through rain and vibrations. That's how I imagined the threads. She can feel much more and I see this as a gift, but also as a curse. Those feelings are heightened to a whole new level. I love how she grows and finds new things about herself. I was so happy that she finally let go and let herself be free. Her journey from when she was a kid until the present day is magnificent. She is a well of power. Atrius and his army, his people, brought a whole new face to the House of Blood. (view spoiler)[I can't wait to see him face-to-face with Septimus. I hope Atrius will be the end of that slime bastard. (hide spoiler)] He is rational. I love this about him. Otherwise, I think he would have killed or banished Sylina in the last chapters. Yes, he's cold and calculated but also has a heart of gold. Unlike the many rulers this world has, and had, he is connected with his people and understands the importance of balance. From the first moments he revealed this side of himself through his people, I understood that he would be a great ruler, a great leader. He was respected and he also respects his people. A rare quality in any reality. (view spoiler)[I had suspected that something was wrong when the Sightmother encouraged Sylina to help Atrius in his conquest. My first thought was: "I wouldn't be surprised if she's working with the king". But I left that thought in the background. Well... when the truth finally revealed itself... I was like: "Holy shit! She is behind all of this". I never liked the Sightmother. From the beginning, I didn't trust her one bit. (hide spoiler)] I loved this book a lot and I will continue to read the next books of the "Mortal Enemies to Monster Lovers" series because I think I'm on the path of discovering great new authors (new for me).
