Die Flut, so hoch sie morgens eintritt, ist des Mittags längst verlaufen.

Denn ist nicht alles, was man Kindern tut, Gewalt?

Dass ein einz‘ger Funken dieser Leidenschaft doch unsers Hirns so viel verbrennen kann!

Doch was man ist, und was man sein muss in der Welt, das passt ja wohl nicht immer.

Mein Schmerz hat mich vergessen machen, wer / Du bist.

Es müsste möglich sein, denselben Menschen / Zur selben Zeit zu lieben und zu hassen.

Erröten macht die Hässlichen so schön;
