when somebody ask for "why coming of age books for new adults with mcs in their 20s are so rare?!" well this book is an answer to the question! it's literally what sizzle reel is about: an early twenty girl freshly coming out navigating to the world that's very new to her down to its experience. it's not about someone mc who knew what she's doing (especially in term of being a sapphic), she's experiencing nervousness, nerves, anxiousness ft. baby steps pace, just very real and authentic. even if you're not one yourself, you surely will enjoy this sapphic coming of age romance novel!

I was attracted to this book because of the cover and the blurb. I wanted to know how "messy" this would be, how funny and entertaining it would be as it promised a Hollywood-themed story.

However, it didn't go well according to the plan. I was excited for nothing because the story felt forced to me. There are points that I needed to know why and what but never really get the answers until the very last page. Some characters (not the main characters tho) felt too unreal? Like, they straight up written for a filler just so the story has a lot of people in it, and to be frank, it was hard to read.

Oh and, the writing style. Reading through every line felt like someone was rushing me to move around, the dialogue felt strange and funny, at some points it appeared uneven.

In conclusion, a rough one, very cheery and cute but I don't think it executed well. However, I do enjoy the sprinkle of Hollywood scenes within the book!
