**Update** I'm not sure what I ever saw in this book to begin with. Umberger takes way too long to build the romance between the two main characters, or even spend more than a few pages of the narrative on the female protagonist. I never got into this book. It does not survive the second round of the purge from my personal collection.

Quick, easy read. It's not deep and there are plenty of anachronisms. Not every book can be thought-provoking. It's good for a feel-good read but not much else.
