not as good as the first one, also WHAT’s WITH ALL THE WEIRD METAPHORS AND SIMELIES?? ”The place(school hallway) had the chaotic energy as a half dressed dancer,” (??????) and so many other weird ones. idk if the autor wanted to write more lyrically but they were all just weird

It was not as gripping as the first book hidden gifts. There was good parts and that parts that I struggled to read. And I put the book down so many times.

I really like the earthy magic system in this series, as well as the atmosphere created because of this. I think I preferred book 1, but it was fun to see where the magic took our characters in this book and I enjoyed that process.

I loved the first book so much, I couldn't wait to read the second. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed. Every character did something I didn't like which made me fall out of love with them. But I still love how diverse the book series is and how it brings diversity into everyday life. Despite all the negative aspects I read this book in one night because I wanted to know what comes next I was quite disappointed that Tarot reading wasn't the main topic like in the first book of the series. I thought the first one was special because I haven't read any other book this good about Tarot reading yet. Also, it is disappointing that almost all the characters have some kind of magical ability. It wasn't anything special anymore to have a gift.
