I didn’t miss the way Roxy’s eyes trailed over him and the fact that there was considerably less hatred in her gaze when she looked his way than what she directed at me. I guessed he hadn’t half drowned her but it still pissed me off.

I folded my arms, grinning as I watched. The funny thing was, that chant was the biggest lie I'd ever heard. Because I’d never, in all the years I'd known them, seen the Celestial Heirs look so rattled.

“Yes, sir. I want to play on,” he muttered and I released him, snatching Seth by the collar and yanking him closer. I was maybe one percent rougher with him than the others. But he had cut off Blue's hair and I just couldn't fucking forgive it. End of story.

A glint caught my eye and I glanced over Tory's shoulder, spotting Geraldine rubbing glitter into the crotch of Caleb's shorts.

“Geraldine!” I gasped. “That's genius.”

She beamed, folding the shorts away and zipping up the bag. “Those nincompoops won't know what hit them.”

i hate Caleb less than the rest but this is making me feel uneasy💀 1) stupid idea 2) dangerous idea 3) why is darius never jealous i thought they had sth 4) if sth ever happens between them this will be basically shagging 2 brothers which is always a bit icky

A moan of pleasure escaped me as he filled me and I tipped my head back, my eyes falling closed as I absorbed the feeling of his body merging with mine.

He kissed me like he wasn't allowed to kiss me, but if he didn't he'd die.

He glanced above us and his brow furrowed heavily. “Up there are a thousand reasons why we can't be together.”

With a wicked grin, I did just that, bouncing on the balls of my feet and clapping excitedly as my ass rubbed up and down against Darius’s crotch.

“Is it supposed to feel like that?” I breathed.

Darius’s lips parted and his eyes roamed over me for a moment before he spoke. “We’re both incredibly powerful,” he hedged. “Power craves power.”

Lance’s teeth slid into my flesh and I waited patiently as he took what he needed from me. An ache grew in my chest as he drew my power into him and I had to fight against the urge to pull him closer, to run my hands over his hair - I clenched my teeth.

His heart was slowing down, his power flickering like a candle in a breeze. If someone didn't get to us soon, Darius Acrux was going to die. And though it seemed like he should have been the last person in the world for me to care about after everything he'd done to me, I wasn't sure I could bear it if I lost him here.

All around us the fight raged on but beneath my hands, blood was pulsing from his chest and he was lying deathly still. "Darius?" I demanded, shaking him while still trying to press down on his wounds. It wouldn't be enough though, his back and legs were bleeding too. A bloody gouge shone wetly on his neck and his breaths were far too shallow.

"Do you hate me, then?" he asked quietly and for some strange reason it sounded like the idea of that didn't sit well with him. I forced myself to reply in a steady tone, holding his eye as I spoke. "No," I said and a glimmer of relief spilled through his eyes, almost halting me there but I wasn't quite so blinded by him as to give him a free pass for all his bullshit. "To hate you, I'd have to care about you. And I don't give one shit about you," I said coldly.

"Cheat," I breathed as my heart pounded. "Only a little," he admitted. Before I could say anything else, he leaned forward and kissed me. My heart leapt, my skin tingled and my traitorous body gave in to his demand. I was supposed to hate him. I was supposed to be shoving him off of me and slapping him and telling him to stay the hell away from me. I definitely shouldn't have been pulling him closer, my hands fisting in the material of his shirt, my lips parting to admit his tongue.

"Go on," he offered, inching back so that he could look down at me, interest lighting his navy blue eyes. I placed my palm on his chest to hold him away. "Let's make it a game. I'l run from you and hide. If you can't find me within fifteen minutes you don't bite me tonight,"

My heart hammered with excitement as I discovered what I'd somehow known would be there. One of Astrum's Tarot cards lay beneath it with a horned red beast sitting upon a throne. The Devil was printed at the base of it and fear crawled into my gut as I turned it over to read the inscription on the back. Do not underestimate the beast who shadows you. "Lance?" I whispered and he stood up straighter in response to that. "If I can't call you Blue, you're not calling me that." He snatched the picture and placed it back on the wall. Something about that cut deeper than any other promise we'd made tonight. 

"Lance," I breathed and his pupils dilated as I met his gaze. He devoured the space between us and I experienced pure sin as his mouth crushed against mine. It was gunpowder meeting fire and the result was an all-consuming blaze which burned me up from the inside 

My chest was ballooning already and the panic of him yanking me under so fast meant I'd barely taken a breath. He suddenly pushed me from behind and I crashed onto my knees, air somehow flowing freely around me. I stared up in complete awe as I found myself in a large, rectangular pocket of air carved out by magic against the wall of the pool. I stood upright, pushing my sopping hair from my eyes as I caught my breath.

Ok, just hear me out, I still hate everyone. It was to the point where I had to google who the main love interests were because I have absolutely no clue. This wishy-washy behavior from all the characters is so frickin annoying like who do you know that says thing like “I hate him but he’s so hot.” 

Another thing is they are all still aweful to everyone. I am not rooting for anyone. Only reason I gave this book 1.5 stars is because it had a handful of decent jokes, but other than that, it’s garbage.

Shockingly this book was actually better. Not a lot better - the dialogue is still the most cringe thing ever and the plot is still ??? but it wasn’t just 12 hours of Tory and Darcy doing stupid shit and then getting owned for being stupid. They actually succeeded in some of their plans to mess with other people which was a nice change of pace. But the actual pacing for this book / series makes zero sense. I can’t tell if weeks are going by or it’s literally only been hours. Having started book 3, I can also already see that the construction of the story throughout the series already has some gaping plot holes and feels like the authors are just writing on a whim and not in service to an overarching story they’ve already outlined. This makes us feel extremely lazy and is frustrating.

I have the impression this book get better ( on the writing style) and I loved the story soooo much I couldn't let the book out of my hands.

After the first book, I didn't have great expectations even though I heard a lot of praise about this series, but now I'm in love so much with the action that it didn't even bother me the wattpad 's style of writing.

This was a great book to carry on the plot and dive deeper into the character development of the heirs and the vega twins, and I feel is setting us up for the next book. At times it was repetitive, but it was an easy read that didn’t make me bored

I’m still loving Orion but Darius is now one of my top MMC’s in this story

I do feel like I’m still waiting for the twins to master their powers and it’s becoming repetitive of being told they’re powerful but not, however with the amount of books in this series I don’t think this will happen for a long time

okay, the pacing was all over the place. the internal dialogue was cringey. the blatant typos was laughable. but it was incredibly enjoyable. if you don’t take this book seriously in the slightest, you will have an absolute ball reading this. also the final scene was cute.

i don't even know how to rate these series like they are objectively bad and problematic. for majority of this book LITERALLY nothing happens but yet they are still entertaining for some reason.

AMAZING. LOVE ORION AND CALEB. Amazing how the girls pranked the heits during the whole book
