Ruthless is the perfect title to have part of this book because what the fuck! Like the whiplash I go through with these characters have put me through is insane. But am I okay with it? Yeah, and I’ll be starting the next book immediately. But I’m dying to know more about Darcy and Tory’s form and book 3 is going to be a rollercoaster.
people often throw around the phrase “they put crack in this” too often
with that being said - they put crack in these books. they’re bad but….
Shockingly this book was actually better. Not a lot better - the dialogue is still the most cringe thing ever and the plot is still ??? but it wasn’t just 12 hours of Tory and Darcy doing stupid shit and then getting owned for being stupid. They actually succeeded in some of their plans to mess with other people which was a nice change of pace. But the actual pacing for this book / series makes zero sense. I can’t tell if weeks are going by or it’s literally only been hours. Having started book 3, I can also already see that the construction of the story throughout the series already has some gaping plot holes and feels like the authors are just writing on a whim and not in service to an overarching story they’ve already outlined. This makes us feel extremely lazy and is frustrating.
I have the impression this book get better ( on the writing style) and I loved the story soooo much I couldn't let the book out of my hands.
After the first book, I didn't have great expectations even though I heard a lot of praise about this series, but now I'm in love so much with the action that it didn't even bother me the wattpad 's style of writing.
This was a great book to carry on the plot and dive deeper into the character development of the heirs and the vega twins, and I feel is setting us up for the next book. At times it was repetitive, but it was an easy read that didn’t make me bored
I loved that there was spice in this book and I’m still unsure who is the main love interest of Tory (not a bad thing!)
I’m still loving Orion but Darius is now one of my top MMC’s in this story
I do feel like I’m still waiting for the twins to master their powers and it’s becoming repetitive of being told they’re powerful but not, however with the amount of books in this series I don’t think this will happen for a long time
They get better each book! Some of the repetitive nonsense I’m over but the fights with the Nymphs are so good! Into the next ! Also loved the revenge aspect of this one and the party ! Finallllyyyy Orion ! Eek! #libralife

So I liked the writing way more in this book since it didn't feel rushed anymore. I'm also used to all the crazy fantasy shit now so I'm fine with greek mythologies and werewolves being mentioned in the same sentence haha
Orion has points for keeping Darcy safe but also lost points when I read his point of view because why the hell can't they HELP the twins and make them ready to rule?? It's not like the 4 Heirs couldn't rule WITH them. I don't get why it has to be they or them just work TOGETHER like in the arena but without punching and more talking. It's not that hard.
Darius has won zero points so far but I did see all signs pointing to them being a couple at least once in this series. He has a ton of karma to gain before that happens tho💀

okay, the pacing was all over the place. the internal dialogue was cringey. the blatant typos was laughable. but it was incredibly enjoyable. if you don’t take this book seriously in the slightest, you will have an absolute ball reading this. also the final scene was cute.
reread : 22-03-24 “Up there are a thousand reasons why we can't be together. I'm bound by so many rules I could waste the rest of your evening telling you them.” BlueLance actually carried this series because tell me why i don't care at all about any character aside from them. Orion, my favourite alcoholic 🫶🏼

update: 2.5 stars i don't even know how to rate these series like they are objectively bad and problematic. for majority of this book LITERALLY nothing happens but yet they are still entertaining for some reason.

Zodiac academy surpassed my expectations as a dark fantasy reader. The writing is intelligent and inclusive, as well as creative and exciting. The main characters are easy to sympathize with an the "villains" are complex and easy to adore. I am chewing through these books so fast I am worried about running out!
This was so much better than the first one.. the books are a MESS, but they’re so addictive I’m going through this series so fast! Bluelance have my heart they’re definitely making me feel so many things 🥰 and I’m loving the tension between Tory and Darius! My favorite part has to be Tory and Darcy’s revenge on the celestial heirs, it was just just so funny how they managed to rattle them so much, and they proved that they won’t let anyone just walk all over them! ✨Karma is definitely Tory and Darcy Vega ✨

“Geraldine!” I gasped. “That's genius.”
She beamed, folding the shorts away and zipping up the bag. “Those nincompoops won't know what hit them.”
