Geraldine has had such a redemption arc in my opinion during this series! If you told me I would read a novella mainly in her weird pov and actually enjoy it I wouldn't have believed you but here we are!
Her and max are actually so much more enjoyable to read about then Darcy and Orion were

Max and frkkn Gerry Man ohhhh man Their story is filled to the brim of love and lust and frkkn heart break!! I love the little novelas that give you a deeper insight to these characters!! I love that Max is finally getting a personality even though he is always confused and just trying to feel others emotions to get some footing! And no matter how powerful he is, Gerry just won’t let her walls down! I need more of them!
I don't like Geraldine tbh. I find her cringey. But I do love her and max together. I also loved the Tory and Darius moments.

** spoiler alert ** this is such a cute novella of maxgrus packed with the heirs x the twins moments😭 i mean the heirs freaking BAKED A CAKE for tory and darcy GOD???😭 and the way seth always be there for darcy made my heart ache too😭 darcy & seth’s friendship are something else i love them so bad😭

Just let it be me and you, at least for a little while." Okay max is growing on me and geraldine grus is a freaking queen idc!!! I was going to convince her to say yes to my proposal. And then I was going to spend those two years making her fall for me so hard that there would be no way in hell that she could ever give me up. Either that or I was setting myself up to have my heart ripped from my chest and crushed before my eyes. But she was worth the risk. So I was going to take it.
Maxy boy and Gerry are 100% my favorite couple in this entire series.

Highlights
I couldn't get enough of this girl, I felt like she'd wormed her way under my skin like a splinter I never wanted to remove. I just wanted her to keep working her way deeper and deeper until she pierced my heart and stayed lodged there forever.
I'd never felt a pull to anyone the way I did to her, never ached for anyone the way I did with her either and as I thought about that, I realised I didn't want to keep playing this game of cat and mouse with her. I didn't want to keep fighting to reel her in only to have her run again.
I was left with a hysterically sobbing Geraldine who was way past fucked up and kept murmuring about it being the most wondrous day.
I laughed as she started hiccoughing and lifted her into my arms.
