really fun read! the ending was good

sometimes i feel like there is no plot but then it finds its way back to the story line but its still just enjoyable

How am I supposed to go from that ending and start the ruthless boys of zodiac academy?! I loved the trials aspect that was added to this book. And seeing more povs added a lot to the book but I’m dying for more. I’m actually afraid of who I will become or how sad I’ll be once this is over. Maybe the part of me that kept putting it off knew something I didn’t.

Again, this book is WAY too long for the actual plot (still actually waiting for the plot to make an appearance). This is the longest book in the series so far and it only spans A WEEK. Nothing makes sense here - the reckoning is a joke - as are the trials?? Like this is such a poorly plotted series it’s astounding to me it has the intense fan base it does. You definitely have to lean in with the characters, but some of them are so poorly fleshed out they can’t stand on their own…. Sigh.

I love how the writing improved and the action get more captivating every page. I couldn't let this book out of my hands. It was like a dr.g for me, need more of it every second. It didn't happened in a while for a book to do this to me and now I understand all the hype around this book.

I'm in love with the tension between Tory and Darius and I couldn't get enough of it and the way their relationship goes makes me giggle and scream and cry on their frustration.

Also, I love how the authors start to improve their writing and make me feel like I'm captive on some of the situation, sometimes forgetting I'm on my own room .

Okay this was by far my favorite book of the series!

I LOVED the scenes between Darcy and Orion and I would've loved the scenes with Darius and Tory as well but he kinda ruined it by not helping her at all in the very end. I was okay with Orion dropping the shield because I didn't want Xavier to die (although the reason why he HAD to pisses me off - I hate that stupid bond they both had no choice in creating) but the fact they both did NOTHING ELSE to try and help them is insane.

The twins would've literally died if not for their Order (what a slay btw) emerging. I said before that I can't ship Darcy and Orion as long as Darius will be his forced number one and he can't even choose otherwise than to defend him. And this just proved it true. Like they deserve people who at least try to save them and not just stand by and cry about it. Love Orion, but he was useless as well (but at least he was forced to be so, Darius chose it).

Before Lionel's part I LOVED the book tho

4.25 ⭐️ I feel like these books are building a big plot but I don't know what it is or if I'm right but it seems that these first three books were full of small plots that were actually just hints of something much bigger, does that make sense? Idk I really like Orion and Darcy individually but I don't know if I love the romance between them yet, it's not a bad relationship but I feel like there's something missing there. Tory and Darius are the opposite (but I like Tory), I can't believe that I've already read 3 books and there hasn't been a single kiss, even though Darius is an asshole, I can't wait to see them together 😭 Caleb pissed me off in this book, I even liked him a little in the first two but in this one I rolled my eyes every time he appeared. Seth and Max I feel like I couldn't hate them both more even if I tried. Anyway, I really liked this one and I loved finally knowing what their Order is. I knew in my bones that they weren't dragons but I had never imagined that either (after I found out it made A LOT of sense, I felt stupid for not having thought of it before tbh) Note: when I got over the word “Faebook” the authors invented “Faerrari”, I swear I read it at 3am and laughed so loud that my neighbors probably heard it

wow. ok. it will never not make me laugh that they’re supposed to be from the “tough side of chicago” and yet they are obviously very british? and not just british but extremely posh brits with their lexicon? but regardless, i had a blast. the last 30 pages was shocking.

reread : 22-03-24 “I want you to the point of pain, Blue.” oh my god, BlueLance in this book were everything? im still giggling at everything lance says. and him being jealous is the cutest ever.

I have no words... but one thing, I hate Lionel so much. but we have gotten much crumbs of Darius and Tory as well Blue and Lance. 😆🥺

** spoiler alert ** I found myself loving and hating this book. So many YES scenes and so many UGH scenes. Like don’t get me wrong I love me some dual POV but every single chapter left me on a cliffhanger by the time i got used to the character. I don’t think I can hate Diego and Seth more. Genuinely. Diego irks me to no end with his improper use of spanish just to try and sway the twins to like him- JUST TO CALL THEM WHORES? No and then how he treated the Sophia and Tyler situation? Uncalled for. He had his chance the last 2.5 books but made NO real moves. And then there’s Seth. Now don’t get me wrong I understand he’s just a lil goofball who wants hugs but I swear he did nothing to actually help the situation. His pack shunned him and he damn near made the heirs do the same. He has no pull to Darcy so why the ACTUAL fuck can’t he just cut her off? I feel like there’s more motive behind it but I just can’t. I can’t do EVERYONE pining over the twins. It was nice when it was just Caleb & Darius for Tory and Lance for Darcy but seriously? Seth and Diego too? This is some reverse harem stuff that I’m NOT enjoying. Personally I loved the plot, hate Lionel but what else is new? I’m excited to start Shadow Princess but I sort of feel that if Lionel isn’t taken care of by the end of that book- im going to lose my mind.

Things are finally starting to pick up by this book. Takes you 3 books to finally get somewhere and start getting some answers. Will continue reading the series now that the plot is moving along, hopefully things keep the pace 🤞

The Vega Twins continue to kick ass though this book especially towards the back is majority from Darcy’s perspective. Tory’s love life continues to be frustrating due to her stubbornness and really comes to a head at the end of this book. I am greedily, immediately starting the next book hoping by some miracle that the outcome of this book changes for the sake of multiple characters in the story.

From the heirs to the hell week before the reckoning these girls are in for a long week. After developing their skill set, the twins now need to prove that they deserve a place at the academy. Along side their friends, it is time to show them what fae are all about.

Tory & Darcy

Hello hello to the bad ass Vega twins! As the book continues I live to see their sisterly bond grow and develop during the time that they spend at Zodiac academy. These girls never catch a break, but they come out stronger every time! They have shown everyone how quickly they were able to learn their powers and use them in the best way possible. Hellooooo easy pass on the reckoning!! Gladly would be a member of the A.S.S after this book.

Tory & Caleb

Okay okay, I know that this will probably not last long, but I am obsessed with these two. Maybe just Caleb since he is my favorite of the Heirs, but none the less. Their carnival date was hands down one of my favorite scenes in the book. It was nice to see Caleb without a glittery horn up his ass and let loose a little bit. Their relationship, although just friends with benefits, is something good to come out of the heirs torment. They fit together well. Although Caleb does not know much about Tory (shout out Darius) it was nice to see them actually out and about instead of just focusing on the hunt. Although Caleb was thinking all about Tory during the lunar eclipse, Tory's mind was elsewhere.

Tory & Darius

We love a couple who gets high on adrenaline. These two hold the perfect dynamic of enemies to lovers. It was great for them to have that moment together at Darius' place riding motorcycles and all that stuff. I mean of course Tory had to give him some lessons on motorcycles because why have all those nice bikes if you know nothing about them. I enjoy the time that they have together and I am excited to see what becomes of this. (Sorry Caleb)

Oh my favorite bromance. There have been some wild up and downs with you guys this book. This whole guardianship has been heavily explored in this book and the ending..... fingers crossed.

THE BEST THING TO COME OF THIS SERIES. I love these two together so much. They have that perfect balance in personalities and interests. Getting wet and wild in the pool huh?! Finally nice to see them have a raw moment between the two of them. Their relationship is what I am waiting for the book to explore more. #protectyourpeach
