I’m actually kinda pissed because I was dead set on hating this series because of how much I disliked the first several books but this book was dare I say gripping.

I’m pissed because I was listening g to the ending at the nail salon and audibly gasped. Literally will be thinking about how well this ending was compared to the first books. I’m unwell. I was hate reading these books and now I might actually like them?!?

The goddamn cliffhangers in this series are brutal. I actually was wondering how it could get worse, oh don’t worry this book was worse and I was not prepared and I know there was no way to prepare for it. This finally told me why reading Ruthless Bous of the Zodiac. The whole series was ehh but the character I’m supposed to know makes sense now. Zodiac Academy #5: Cursed Fates

This book was such a crazy whirlwind of emotions I honestly don’t know where to start, it’s so huge as well that I feel like I’ve forgotten have of what happened I just know it gave me so much stress 

I’ve never been a huge fan of the relationship between Darcy and Orion, it always just felt really boring, and I knew something would happen between them soon but not just yet! I was not expecting him to go to prison!! That really got me, but I also found the whole plot of him feeling sorry for himself and throwing the trial just annoying  

On the flip side I LOVE Tory and Darius and their whole relationship starting, when Darius said he loved her I can’t lie I was smiling, giggling, kicking my feet 

I’ve never been a huge fan of Seth and that carried on throughout this book, I got the impression the authors were trying to make us understand why he had been such an ass but it just felt like excuses and I couldn’t get on board with it

The ending!! Wow I hate Lionel so much and was not expecting him to use the guardian bond!!! The heirs and vegas quite literally can’t catch a break and I’m interested to see what the next book will be like (secretly hoping Tory and Darius have a happy ending and Darcy isn’t just depressed the whole damn fine but I think both are wishful thinking) 

On a side note I love that I’ve read the ruthless boys series before this book because there were so many Easter eggs dotted around! Rory and Ethan both mentioned at darkmore (although what did Ethan do to get there? I need to know!), Dante playing more of a role and coming to the pitball games and Rosa now playing for alestria. But tbh that whole part where she nearly had a threesome with Seth and Caleb just was pointless and now Seth likes Caleb?? Rosa was not needed in that sub story. And I love that Gabriel is their half brother after there being so much unknown about his family life from the ruthless boys series

ahhh this whole series is so tangled and there’s so much happening but I also can’t stop reading it I’m so emotionally invested

These books are infuriating. The plotting and pacing are done so poorly it’s frustrating. You want to care about these characters but you really only do because the authors heap intense amounts of trauma on them, not because they’re fully fleshed out. The ending of this book was absolutely insane and nonsensical.

When they first saw their life, it's sad the mom was a servant and the father fall in love immediately even though she was a commoner . But, when the second vision appeared and they find out Gabriel it's their brother, it shows that the mom was a princess from another kingdom and the dad saved her. 🤨

  A lot of things could've make sense if the authors spend another 5 minutes with the idea they came up with. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

  Also, a lot of things in the books were introduced just to fill the page ( a lot of them very unnecessary) and too much of changing POV s .  

   A thing I appreciate with the diverse number of POVs , it's hard to be so unique with every character and I think they nailed it, feeling like I really read from different perspectives, but what it's toooooo much it's bad. 🤷🏻‍♀️

   All of this is just MY OPINION, and maybe other people think different, but for me this book get very hard to read already, being very very boring.

I came back to do a decent review bc sometimes I use my own reviews to remember what happens in the book so here we go. All these books so far have followed the same pattern for me: 

0-30% meh
30-80% love it, best book ever
80-97% *screaming crying throwing up* I’ll never read the next one
97-100% *downloading the next one on my kindle*

I wish I was strong enough to give up on this series now bc I know things will get worse but I can't 😔 anywayyy the beginning of the book I wasn't really liking it and mainly bc of bluelance, I know a lot of people love them but for me they’re a little boring idk. Now now, the threesome???? HELLO 😭 Caleb is a genius and we love him for that but istg I thought his plan was to be just a chaperone and not participate in the while thing 

The cutest thing in the world was seeing torydarius falling in love, every scene of them running and having coffee together I kept kicking my feet bc ughhh they’re everything. I also loved seeing the friendship between heirs x vegas developing, I wish the authors had brought this up sooner but I understand why it took so long

It was obvious that Lance would go to prison at some point but fuck that scene hurt so much

Lionel is sick as hell, what he did at the end with the guardian thing was disgusting and I imagine that in the next book it will be even worse

jesus god make me stop reading these books. why cannot i stop????? it’s like a car crash. i’m five books into a series, and each book the protagonists lose again and again and again. except this is like the worst loss so far because now the loss involves FORCED borderline INCEST? there’s literally one singular character i care about. there’s way too much going on, a bunch of half baked nonsense subplots, almost as if the authors know this book sucks and are just trying to get you connected to anything… will i keep going? i do not know.

Fuck this book for the plot twists . I literally had to sit on this review for a few days to even process what was going on. And let me tell you, i went through the stages of grief. I recognized my pain. 

and i want more 😭 

you might wanna take a break after this book.. everyone told me to and i didn’t believe them. but i truly needed this time to process. take this moment to read a quick standalone. Or to read The A.S.S Party, maybe even read the Ruthless Boys if you were like me & skipped those books. 

You can read in whatever order you like though, i know how stressful it is to hear so many different reading orders. but please just let yourself process this one first

that being said, WHAT THE FUCK?

I genuinely dislike characters more than ever and fuck the stars.

This book ruined my day on multiple occasions. Out of the whole series this one took me the longest to finish bc I had to keep taking breaks from getting upset over outcomes. Not a single thing goes right in this book for any of the characters. No one can catch a break. And all your favorite characters get the grunt of it.

I stg if things aren’t righted in the next book, and it better be in a super epic and worth the bs way, then I will be throughly disappointed.
