This was A LOT of improvement with the second book. There was more substance even though it was under 200 pages. It was also nice that Nancy Drew had to rely on herself instead of her father. But, the ending was a little lackluster.

Still, I love revisiting these series and can’t wait to read more!

Another one-sitting read. I actually enjoyed this one a bit more than The Secret of the Old Clock. I don’t think I’m going to suddenly become a Nancy Drew superfan or anything, but these are fun books to grab when you have an hour or two to spare and want something absorbing you can read from start to finish.

This one another adorable Nancy Drew mystery. I like the fact that she sets off to help a couple of old women and her friend, and how kind they all are.
I particularly liked also the mystery itself, it was quite thrilling as we know there is a hidden staircase but it is about figuring out what role it has.
The secondary mystery with Nancy’s father is also interesting, I like that it was present as well.
I wish I had read this book when I was a little girl, I would have been so crazy for these stories! But it was a pleasure to listen to this on audiobook, it is a sweet relaxing story and Nancy is lovely.

I def really enjoy this read. I think I enjoyed this store more than the first book in this series. I liked the duel mystery that was in this read. I always like mansions as a setting and this one was no different. I sometimes get frustrated with Nancy at points but overall this book was fun read. I loved the side characters that we met in this read and will try to read more of these soon!
