Okay, so I didn't expect to like a dumb “bro” hero who puts truck nuts on his ride and used to prank his crush, but here we are. 

Please note, I didn’t read the first book, so I’m unaware of how Cash is portrayed there, and not to downplay the gravity of bullying, but Cash, IMHO, was never the real bully to Glenna. 

A man-child, that's what Cash is. He’s also a certified dumbass, no doubt about that, but he also has the maturity to admit his wrongdoings and own up to them. It's cool how the author didn't brush off the hurt that he’d caused her from all the pranks and name calling. It was acknowledged, discussed, and given a resolution. 

All in all, this book is just plain fun to read and I'm definitely gonna read more of Cate C. Well's stuff.
