           3 stars. I liked this book. It was predictable as some (many) romances tend to be, so it only took a few pages for me to know where this book was going. You've got one hostile vey rich lesbian patient (Darcy) and a overqualified lesbian ER doctor (Andrea) with a mysterious reason why she took a job as a live-in personal physician. Of course there is miscommunication and non-communications that adds to the angst.

I snapped this book up because I could relate to having to be in long term care. After multiple surgeries that didn't go as well as expected, I was in 'n out of the hospital & a rehab/nursing care hospital for a few months. If only I had the money that Darcy had for in home 24 hr care! I had a few quibbles such as the whole thing about rigging up a system to wash Darcy's hair - they have products to do this for bedridden patients. One is a cap, that I don't remember how it worked, but I remember it felt heavenly. Any nurse would know these products. But then Darcy never had her hair washed again, but lots of sponge baths...

There is a large cast - maybe too large. Darcy has a relatively large group of friends - all beautiful and highly successful, naturally. They are all introduced and most hover in the background which is a distraction at times. Who's that again? Who's she paired with? Then there is a friend who returns to alcohol, but there is no mention to how it effects her job.

Anyway, in spite of the problems I had with it and it's abundance of romance tropes, it's very readable and well written overall. I'll read this author again.
