Holiday Romance A totally hilarious and unforgettable Christmas romantic comedy
Reviews

I felt it was a bit much. A lot of the things I felt it was illogical and unnecessary; could've been resolved sooner.
And the miscommunication trope when the characters are in their 30's is just embarrassing tbh...

This was very cute and Christmas-y and very well might have kicked my holiday spirit into a overdrive... Oh, well, my parents are gonna have to deal

So far my favourite Christmas read. It’s sooo cute and so pure. Such an easy read as well that portrays real life but still sort of fairytale-ish.

oh. my. GOD. I loved this, I LOVED THIS!! what starts off as a coincidence turns into a tradition, TURNS INTO CUTE ASS LOVE. genuinely my heart was going to burst reading this. I just want to say that im a grinch and I usually hate holiday romances but this is >>>>>>>>> so so good I’ve yet to read a book with a story line like this and it was so refreshing to read, watching them fuss over each other every year is so heartwarming. The characters separately are amazing, I love each of them equally and its easy to remember the side characters. the love and chemistry that brews between them and basically blows up in their face within three stress-induced days. I LOVE IT. I cant wait to order this when it comes out.

"One day you are going to find someone who lights you up even more than you already do. And they'll be lucky to have you."
light-hearted & fast read. andrew & molly were so charming; i had to squeal about some scenes to my friend. i loved getting to read about their family dynamics + how easily they seemed to blend into each others lives. AH! just perfect.

I truly truly adored every second of this book. It was the perfect wholesome and sweet Christmas romance and it really got me in the holiday spirit, even though it is the middle of exam season at university lol.
The dynamic between Andrew and Molly was absolutely top-tier and might be one of my favourite dynamics I've ever read. I am a HUGE fan of friends to lovers and I will die on that hill. I don’t think you can do it wrong. But Catherine Walsh definitely did it right. She wrote Andrew and Molly in a way that actually made me look up to them both for inspiration in my own life. Their communication ?? Oh my God ! Hands down some of the best communication I've ever read in a romance book. Every time something happened, they talked about it like real, mature adults and worked through it seamlessly.
Their dialogue, in general, was so incredibly well-written and probably my favourite part of the book. Their banter was also really fun and done very well. I often find that written banter can fall flat and come across as forced because banter works with expressions and tones that don't translate in writing with the same effect as if you heard it happen in real life. That wasn’t the case here at all. I actually found their banter really funny.
Speaking of funny, Andrew genuinely made me laugh and kept me entertained. His sense of humour felt so casual and real and I loved it. Andrew’s character in general is top-tier book boyfriend material and he needs to be talked about more! He was charming, funny, sweet, endearing and could be serious without making me cringe. 10/10.
As for the story itself, the way it was structured and laid out was excellent and made the story flow so smoothly. I loved the chapters that went back to all their previous flights. Getting to go back to see how their friendship evolved over the years in between reading about what was happening with them in the present made me feel really connected to both characters and their relationship.
Overall, I loved this, and the more I think about it as I'm writing this review, the more this is starting to feel like it was actually a five star read. There is also a companion novel about Christian, Andrew's younger brother from this book, which I starting immediately. I just can't get enough of Catherine Walsh and her Christmas romance writing !!

I never want to go back to time when I haven't known about this book. This is it for me. There is no competition when it comes to holiday romances than THE Holiday Romance.

This was so cute! A perfect read for the holidays. It was basically People We Meet on Vacation at Christmas which obviously was made for me. Molly and Andrew were so perfect and I loved seeing them on all their flights throughout the years as well as Molly's quest to save his Christmas. Could have done without the pregnant sister storyline, but I felt very seen in Molly and was delighted every time I picked it up.

newest annual dec reread book 👐👐👐

Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for this arc in exchange for an honest review! Reading books by Catherine Walsh is like receiving a big, warm hug. I love the vibes of every book she writes and she has been a consistent 5-star author for me. Holiday Romance follows Molly & Andrew who have taken flights from Chicago to Ireland every year for a decade. This year, however, their travel plans are disrupted. Molly will do anything to get Andrew home to his family for Christmas and on this journey we see their relationship evolve. This story is so heartwarming and with Catherine Walsh’s familiar writing style, I could not put it down. This book is so easily a 5-star read. With all the Christmas vibes, fun family dynamics and loveable characters, you need to read this book!!!

Thank you to NetGalley for the digital copy of the "Holiday Romance". I read this book when I was on my way to my Summer vacations, and I almost wished it was Christmas. This is the perfect Christmas book, I loved it. 10 years, 10 flights that Andrew and Molly share. Both Irish that live in Chicago, they travel together to their homeland every Christmas. But this year they things get complicated and Molly will do everything in her power to get Andrew home to his family. Molly may not like Christmas, but Andrew loves this time of the year and it's unthinkable to him to spend it away from his family and she knows it. A funny, sweet story about two completely different individuals, that find throughout the years that they have become best friends and that there's a possibility to be so much more, despite all the obstacles.

It was very cute and not as funny as I would have hoped but also just made me miss you and want you a whole lot more

If your looking flr that cozy, fun romance winter read, with all tje Christmas vibes then this is the book for you.
I fell in love with the book and adored the characters. I got everything I had hoped from this book, more even. Its absoultly perfect. I'd highly recommend this.

Cutest damn book

So cute! The banter between the two was super funny. Books don’t typically make me laugh out loud too much, but this one had me giggling and blushing and all of that dumb stuff. Disgusting.

Big thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for the advanced copy. This is my first book by Catherine Walsh and I can gladly say I am a fan. 'Holiday Romance' is cozy, laugh-out-loud funny, sweet, sexy, sarcastic (I could go on and on) Christmassy love story about a decade of friendship and the gradual way of falling in love. This book is for the fans of •Christmas romances (obviously) •friends to lovers trope •one bed trope •he falls first trope I'm so in love with these characters it's crazy. Molly and Andrew are so real and down to earth with their unfortunate problems that make them question their way of living, but what stands out is the immense support and understanding they have for one another. The book is not very spicy but the tension (even after their first two kisses) was palpable, I couldn't stop reading and rooting for them. Andrew's confession in Chapter 27 made me swoon so hard, I read it at least 4 times 🫠. The side characters were so vibrant, I want to pack up my family and go spend Christmas in Ireland with Andrew, Molly and the whole squad (preferably with an easier journey that our heroes had to go through) I'm usually a fan of dual POV book but there was nothing I didn't like about this book and I read it in one sitting. Definitely goes in my top 3 holiday romances and my TBR to read again during the Christmas holiday. My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ spice level: 🌶 "Holiday Romance" by Catherine Walsh is out October 4th and I'm going to be praying to book gods that it gets the recognition it deserves 💕

I want to start this off by saying im a notorious Grinch. The holidays are usually a bore for me and therefore, by extension, so are holiday romances. Im pretty sure this book changed things. I loved it. Our characters story is so unique and new it was so refreshing to read. Their love story is even sweeter. Both of our characters are flawed, and imperfect and I loved them for it. This book made me laugh out loud and tugged at my heartstrings, I’ll definitely be forcing all of my friends to read it once its released

I don't want him to go.

He grins up at me with those hazel eyes as if I'm the best thing that's happened to his day. I know he's the best thing that's happened to mine.
