Bittersweet

At first I struggled with getting into the story, it wasn't too interesting in the start, plus it was difficult for me to connect with Shay

Cherry and Shay's relationship is the only thing I could somewhat relate to, but it wasn't that much focused on in the book

I found Honey's behaviour a bit two faced in this book, she first seemed to enjoy the fact that Shay's and her actions had hurt Cherry which I can understand considering Shay cheated on her in the past, but then afterwards she starts acting like she's somehow sorry for enjoying that Shay and Cherry are over, it just seems a bit strange to me

Or maybe it was just to test that Shay really was over her and loved Cherry, and when she realized that, she accepted it and wanted him to be happy, and that's why she seemed sorry? 

Like I said because I couldn't fully connect with Shay it also made the reading experience less enjoyable, however I am happy he got to know his brother more and that the author focused on showing us that sometimes we're not that different from our family as we think we are

I do feel like the ending was a bit rushed though, I personally believe it's a bit unrealistic of Shay's family to suddenly change their mind about his music especially when his father had been against it since day one and his mother had never stood up to Shay's dad

I don't know if it's because I was feeling tired when I read it or if it's just Shay, but even at the end I still wasn't left with any specific feeling
