This book was a big surprise for me because there were so many things I hate about romance books, but here I strangely liked them. I'll say this at the beginning because it's quite important to say that I highly recommend reading River and Rain book before this book. You will look at Roman from a completely different perspective, because he was a little different here than in the duet. 

I really like Hale and Roman dynamic in this book. I love how perfect CR Rici made them for each other. I wasn’t very eager to read Roman’s book, but I liked it even more than River of Rain duet.

There was two things that made me lower the rating. One of them happened during the chapter when they went to the strip club. If you like main characters sharing each other (kinda sharing because they used some guy to made each other mad) you will probably have no problem with that. I hate sharing and if I hear there's a scene like this in a book I immediately delete it from my tbr. In this book that scene surprisingly worked for me, because it totally changed their relationship, and they become really possessive of each other after that. Plus, they both admit that they hated that they did it, and it was their worst $exual experience ever.
The second thing is it was not HEA ending sadly, it’s HFN. The author said that this will change with the next books, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that.

Overall, it was a great read and I'm glad I decided to read this book. I'm looking forward to more character stories, although now I don't think it's going to be MM, which is weird, but we'll see how the author handles it ( I thought CE Ricci only writes mm stories).

THIS.BOOK.IS.LITERALLY.INTENSE!!!!

This book is the first in the Enclave Series (a secret society) which starred by the one and only cocky, adorable, and playful boy named Roman Mitchell with his love interest Hale Calloway.

If I'm being honest, I was quite surprised by the premise of the book. It started so fast that had me so intrigued that definitely piqued my interests. I adore Roman Mitchelle to every fiber of his fictional being. Cocky, shameless, flirt, playful, sexy, handsome, and genuine - you name it, he's got it all! I have this soft spot for him because of how he sees himself in this book. Meanwhile, there's Hale Calloway, handsomely AF who had me hooked and giddy because of his rules from the beginning! Little did he know, he's slowly breaking it for the pleasure he can't resist. These two characters literally lit up my sleeping inner persona. 

The character's chemistry in this book was so good! Terrific! They had me on edge and their banters were adorable! They are really made for each other! And, for the smut part of this book? BANGER! It got so hotter and steamier all throughout, and I'm lowkey here for that! I was never bored reading this book instead I was literally invested that I don't want to put it down. 

Overall, this by far the most intense book I've read this year. The last part of the story really got me so giddy to read more from this series because I want to meet the rest of the Enclave brotherhood. This book has made me believe that through love, all is possible, we deserve a happy ending even when the world is against you. I swooned, I laughed, and I felt every single word from them! Highly recommended!

Hale is emotionally unavailable. Not looking for anything other than to be unattainable, he is quite frankly his namesake. On the surface he’s cold. A force so strong, that if provoked, it will leave scars from the words that escape him.

Together they are fire and ice. Cliche as it may be - it is essentially who they are at their core.“These Vile Secrets,” by CE Ricci is book one in the Enclave Series. It is a forbidden MM romance and it gives us the push and pull that is Roman and Hale. It can be read as a standalone, but I definitely recommend reading the River and Rain Duet in conjunction with this to see the full picture in more of Roman’s backstory. 

Roman needed to feel worthy of being loved, and Hale needed someone to climb the walls he had built up. Together they were the perfect storm; so different in context, but so in sync with one another at the same time. I was so beyond ready for Roman and Hale; not only was it scorching the pages right off, but it was real and raw. I loved being inside both of their heads, and being the observer in their story.

These Vile Secrets is a secret society super rich super hot MM. Sometimes you just wanna read about skyscrapers and fancy cars and nepotism. This will hit all those buttons and then some. 

CE Ricci knocks it out of the park again with hot hot hot enemies to lovers MM that had me on the edge of my seat. I’m really looking forward to the rest of the series. I need more about that secret society asap!!
