She was nicknamed The Graveyard. Any secret, any piece of confidential information, personal or otherwise, that went in never, ever came back out. You knew you were safe; you knew you would never be judged or, if you were it would be silently, so you’d never know. She was perfectly named with a birth name that meant consistency and fortitude, and she was appropriately nicknamed; she was solid, permanent and steady, stoic but oddly comforting.


There are more people involved in telling a story than the writer, and you know that.

‘I was thinking.’
‘I shall alert the authorities at once.’"

This was a reread! 
This is honestly a wonderful book. 8/10 for sure. I really like the overall message and the heartwarming vibe of it. We start out not liking Kitty, our protagonist, much, but she really does redeem herself! I love the 100 people (and more specifically the 6 and their family/friends). This book is mostly very wholesome and I really needed this read after a handful of murder cases with DD Warren. 
As much as I would like to deny it, I think I am quite like Kitty too. When I’m all absorbed in my world, I put my own feelings first, which isn’t a good thing. But we can all grow and learn from it! 
Idk how to say this without spoiling everything but I adore this!

I liked this book more and more the further I got into it, and ended up enjoying it quite a bit. A fairly light beach read, with a conceit that is broadcast well before the end of the book, it had interesting characters and an entertains story. Still more of a 3.5 that a 4, but I rounded up.

beautiful. adored all the characters. they made such a mark on me that despite a massive gap in between starting this book and picking it up again much later to finish it, i was still able to recall them all. ending seemed slightly abrupt but fitting to the story, nonetheless.
