Celeste Briar’s writing was so fun—I kept giggling and sending quotes to my best friend, even though I wanted to put my head through a WALL sometimes. COMMUNICATE!!! COMMUNICATE DAMN IT!!!

I have to say, the book was predictable; the writer seemed to force flaws upon the characters and was trying to make them uncomfortably modernized. The storyline was very fast-paced, leaving little room for suspense. I do not relish instant romance and found the explicit descriptions of intimate moments and character struggles excessive, which made me feel uncomfortable while reading. I was trying to rush through it as fast as I could. Overall, I think the narrative lacked depth and failed to engage me as a reader. Perhaps if the author had spent more time developing the characters and allowing the plot to unfold more naturally, I would have enjoyed the book more.

I normally adore hockey romance (the off campus series…) but this time the book seemed too much, like a hall mark movie.

I just wanted to finish the book.

At first, I thought it was going to be a great book. It started off extremely funny. But everything happened too fast, and they were together around 8 days after they first met. They didn't have many dialogs, and I didn't like the writing style of the author and how she describes her characters. For example Aeris was crying every twenty pages over smth that happened and she was shown really weak. But the book was funny, which made the book a little bit better.
