Received in exchange for a review. Definitely my favourite out of the series. Fleur may have been a bitch in the first two books, but she's calmed down, gotten her act together and found a man to love her for who she is when she needs to be loved. Max is regular guy, the complete opposite of the high maintenance Fleur, but they balance each other out. He's focused on school, getting a good job in banking, and not ending up back in Chicago, working in his father's bar. Fleur is being blackmailed, receiving emails and letters threatening to reveal the truth to what happened to her a few year ago in school. Max stands by her. The relationship is taken slow over the course of the book, but the two have an instant connection once they get over the mutual hatred.

Find this review and more at kimberlyfaye reads . As much as I loved Samir and Maggie's story in the first two books in the International School series (and I loved them A LOT), there was something MORE to this book. Maybe it was because Fleur had been around since the beginning and I felt like I really knew her when the book started. Maybe it was her redemption. Whatever it was, it was absolutely magical and I hung on every single word. Fleur wasn't always the easiest character to like. I certainly had my ups and downs with her in the first two books in this series. She came off as a spoiled "mean girl" a lot of the time, and I have a difficult time relating to characters like that. I did always suspect there was more to her behavior than met the eye though. If you've read the first two books, you know I'm not wrong. (And if you haven't read them, get on it. I love this series!) Well, even more came to light during this book and I wasn't very far in before I not only understood Fleur better, but I was singing her praises. She was a complicated character, but I found it impossible not to love her and root for her after spending just a bit of time in her head. She was still healing from the things that occurred in her past, dealing with a crazy stalker/blackmailer, trying to put her life together and reconciling the attraction she has to Max. Max was amazing. What a sweet and swoony guy. He's definitely atop my book boyfriends list at the moment. It was definitely a case of opposites attract with these two. I'm not sure they could have been more different... or more perfect for each other. Their differences and the way they brought out the best in each other are what made them such a great and likable couple. They had a ton of chemistry and the sexual tension, which spanned over half the book, was intense. I liked the pace at which things developed with them and the fact they both agreed that they didn't want to just jump into bed with each other. It made it all the more realistic and gave me a chance to really appreciate them as a couple. And boy, did I ever love them together. Sure, there was some drama and a lack of communication played into that, but I pretty much knew it would. Fleur had a lot of secrets to keep. Max valued honesty. There was bound to be a little drama there. This book was sexy and emotional and just plain gorgeous. And the epilogue? It was incredible. I can't tell you the last time I read a book smiling, with tears streaming down my face. Well, before this one anyhow. So many warm fuzzies for this author, series, book and characters. I'll really miss them. I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
